Sculptor, Painter, DesignerMUDRAMES

We like to work with different materials and prefer to discover new ones and experiment a lot

When we meet new people, at some point the conversation goes in that direction: “What do you do for a living?” and we are answering: ”We are sculptors”. They: “Wow, nice, which material are you using? Wood?” The thing is that we are modelling, carving, welding using traditional or non-conventional techniques. We like to work with different materials and prefer to discover new ones and experiment a lot. Actually, we are visual artists, we paint, we make pieces of jewelry, we design objects and we love it. (MUDRAMES)

Mudrames develops an unconventional way of approaching the artistic process: there is an idea and they find a personal path to express it. In the process of creation, they begin by a self-inquiry, a reflection on different aspects of life and society. (Silvia Suciu)

MUDRAMES is Alexandra Niță-Palcău and Mircea Niță. They met at the University of Art and Design in Cluj-Napoca (Sculpture department) and decided to work together under the same name: Mudrames. Their first work collaboration was the sculpture „Involvement”, an artwork where two artists with different visions understood that they can work together, even they can complete each other. This sculpture was after the inspiration for their logo. Even that Mudrames was born from the passion and love for Sculpture, both artists can do other artwork as painting, design, or jewellery making.
